Chainless Bicycles

Since Hurricane Ike took all the bikes in our plant, we've replaced them with these shaft drive models from Dynamic Bicycles.

Pretty cool technology. Shaft drives are common on motorcycles but I hadn't seen it on pedal bikes.

Is the end near for dirty chains & sprockets?

I have completely missed this technology - cool!

For some reason, standing up on the pedals with that shaft drive gives me pause, but then again how can a chain be any stronger?

I wonder what the driveline loss percentages are VS a normal chain drive.

I didn't see anything on their site about that.
