I have a couple of racing/driving books collected from my Dad's estate. Unfortunately I'm not a big "reader" but I don't want these to sit around unread. I'm not interested in selling them but I would be willing to lend them out to anyone who is literate:
"A TURN AT THE WHEEL" by Sterling Moss 1961
"Competition Driving" by Paul Frere 1963
"RACING DRIVER'S WORLD" by Rudolf Caracciola 1961 (translated from German in 1963)
Also have a couple of years of Motor Sport a monthly mag started in 1924 with one issue covering the 24 hours in 1967 won by Foyt/Gurney in a Ford Mark IV. and cool ad from KONI, the "shock absorbers keep you down to earth all the time"... I'm gonna build a rack in the bus for the mags....

I'll take the "Competition Driving" book in a podcast and the others on DVD if you've got them!

get one thing straight: "take" means "I would like to borrow"
I will bring them all to TWS... bring your AI/CMC library card...

Another great racing book is "Unfair Advantage" by Mark Donahue. I have an original copy somewhere and it was out of print. Looks like it is back. Good insight into early Trans-Am innovations like acid dipped bodies, vacuum oull for pad changes, tall fuel towers, etc.

I'm going to reserve that book now in case it ever shows up in the AI/CMC library...

Are there any vids of CanAm at TWS circa 1969-72?
