finally. first interview i accepted and it took 3 w/ these guys. 1 hour after walking out, my phone rings and its their HR folks making an offer.
i'm not anywhere close pay wise to where i was w/ Sprint, but i'll have to be glad i'm working.

i want to thank all of you who helped me stay employed in one manner or another over the last few months. it hasnt gone un-noticed.
i start on the 10th of Aug as long as my backgfround check comes back clear.

i'll be a Field Operations Tech for Clearwire.

Congrats, Glenn. Will you be able to retain your severence from Sprint, or does going to Clearwire negate it?

Congrats Glenn... Clearwire has a really good product.

We have run several of our construction sites off of their wireless data services.

They need to expand to other areas of Texas badly.

my severance will end (suposedly) once i start w/ Clearwire.
since that ends on Sept 11th anyways, so what. i do not carry any seniority over from Sprint, which is strange if they cut my severance.

anyways, they are gearing up here in Texas right now. 4G WiMax service to kick off Nov for DFW, San Antonio/Austin and Houston. i' in on the ground floor forthe DFW market.

from what i've read so far its suposed to be much better than Sprints EVDO service, and i loved that while i had it. can wait to get rocking w/ these guys. WiMax has a alot of buzz behind it ight now.

Congrats Glenn! Now throw some of that luck my way!!!

I am about 48 hours from pulling the plug on Nationals this year. Just too many uncertainties at this point and not worth the risk.

Good luck and kick ass at the new job!

From a person who has been down that road... CONGRATS! A certain feeling of relief and a renewed surge of energy in just about everything you do follows an offer for employment. Kick ass and keep us informed about the 4G stuff.

Congrats.

Cut you severance? That's crap. So they pay you as long as you don't have another job? That doesn't sound right. I always though severance was more a fixed term deal.

Regardless it's good to know you're back at it.

Clearwire is a sub of Sprint. thus the loss. same deal as if i went back to work for Sprint.
