I have two brand new 245/45/16's shaved to 4/32. These have never even been mounted. I tried running these in CMC instead of the 255/50/16 for the shorter sidewall. I lost .900" in width but the sidewall is way shorter (look at Toyo's web site for details). I don't know what it did as far as lap times since I never tested back to back. I did run them on the front and the 255/50/16 on the rear at the last race and the car handled great.
