I need a vehicle inspected. One of my cars failed inspection for the light meter reading on the front window tint. I'm not re-tinting the windows. PM me recommendations please.
Thanks

I think it's like one of those funny laws.
I think there's one that says you have to have windshield wipers, but doesn't specify that you have a windshield.

Roll the windows down and pull the fuse. There is no law that states the the windows have to work.

They must be cracking down on this 'issue'.
My Ranger was tinted (a bit dark, 18%) in 2001. Took it to the same shop for the first 7 years. Took it to a 'new to me' place in 2008 and it failed for the very first time due to tint.
I just got the 2500HD (it's tint is legal) inspected yesterday by the old place and for the first time noticed them using the light meter.

The jackass typed the failure into the state system. I'll look into the fuse.
Thanks
