I know that this has been kicked around recently, but where is the preferred source for the RA1's? I found some at Tread Depot for $191 each plus shipping (somewhere around $895 for four, shipped). Is there somewhere else with a better price on these (255/50R16) that can shave for not much more? BTW, how much to have these shaved and is there any place in Houston that can do it?

Call PST at Cresson...I think they have several 16's but unsure if shaved...

Gary,

Everyone here should at least call AJ at Perfermance Speedtech and give them an opportunity to be your tire dealer.

If you recall, a lot of folks here told AJ last spring they wanted R888s, AJ ordered a truck load and lot of folks backed out.

PST was stuck.

They sponsor this site in order to keep it afloat, too. Support those that suppport you.

100% Agree and support this post. I try to throw as much business I can to Speedtech and AJ as they have been a super help over the years. without their support, many of us would not be where we are today.

A to Zs prices for unshaved were same as PST prices for shaved... I think... I should really find out what he finally charged me...

A to Z has not been the best price around, or even had the tires in stock. I only listed them as a Houston supplier.

I spoke with Appalachian Race Tires yesterday. They say that there are no 17 inch RA1's in the country. Boat is on the way, maybe 2 - 4 weeks. FMR
