For Sale, 2000 Mustang GT, AI car, $18,500.

For sale is my 2000 Mustang AI car. It has been successfully campaigned for 4 seasons and has taken home 50 podiums in 56 races with 26 wins. It currently holds 2 of 5 regional AI track records and scored a solid 3rd at the 2009 National Championships, a 6th in 2008 championships and two second places in the TX region with missed events. The car started as a 22k mile street car and is still very solid. Has never been in an accident and has been “off track” only 4 times in 5 years. It’s a very solid, very reliable and very competitive car ready to be put on track and win.

Body:

2000 Mustang GT deluxe. No traction control. Trans Am spec rear wing with solid aluminum support struts. Adjusts from zero to +7 degrees. Rear diffuser and front splitter setup with removable nose to get on/off trailer. Mounting points for front splitter should accept any aftermarket bumper cover for a 2000 up Mustang. Radiator is boxed in with custom tube bumper and removable tow point. Lift off fiberglass 03-04 cobra heat extraction hood. Cage has Nascar style bars on both sides, there is no dash. Shields brand lexan front and rear, a lot of metal has been removed if it isn’t needed. Car weight is 2970 post 40 minute race with no ballast and 240lb driver. Has a 4 liter fire system with two pulls (Driver and exterior) with 2 under hood nozzles, one at driver legs and one at filler neck on gas tank. Unnecessary trim has been removed at roof and aero package has been worked to make the car as slick as possible. Car has stock ABS, pump and plumbing has been relocated to passenger rear seat area. Stock 03-04 Cobra fuel tank with dual pump setup good to 600rwhp, MM solid steering shaft, stock Rack and pinion and stock hydroboost brake setup. Doors are removable by pins, stock steering column/wheel, stock gauge cluster. Will include a standard Kirkey Intermediate seat only and will include 94lbs of ballast. Ecu relocated for easier access to chip and water proofing. Stock wiring harness which has been “de-wired” of un-used circuits and has PATS system disabled in computer tune to allow switch panel and push button start. Neutral safety switch still installed. Stock sound deadening still in place to curb noise.

Engine:

304 cube 2V “mod motor”. Has a stock stroke forged crank with Manley rods and custom Diamond pistons with a 3.700 bore, dry sleeve and NOT wet sleeved. Block is aluminum. Mac Long tubes, Dr. Gas X-pipe, no mufflers. Compression is 12.7:1 and requires 98 octane or 93 with fuel additives, heads are only gasket matched stock heads, cams are mild 232/242 - .560/.570 lift on a 108LSA and custom aluminum valve covers to replace plastic ones that fail from heat. Power output at Miller Motorsport Park (4400’ Elevation) was 320/336 with a very flat and usable power band. Redline is 6800rpm and motor is built for more, but the heads can’t support it without porting. Intake is a Fox Lake P51 aluminum tunnel ram style intake with a 75mm throttle body, a Ford Lightning MAF and a ram air setup. Oil pump has billet steel gears, Canton road race pan, remote dual oil filter setup. Engine has been run exclusively on Motul race oil since new. Short block was freshened June 2007. Has 10 race weekends, 15 HPDE/Instruction weekends and 2 national events on it. Not at all concerned about a refresh for at least another full season or more. ECU has been tuned with a plug in SCT chip.

Front Suspension:

Maximum Motorsports K-member, forward offset a-arms with delrin bushings, two different front sway bars with Heim end links, MM bumpsteer kit, Racecraft Drop Spindles, koni DA struts (pass has one event) and coil overs. Front brakes are Brembo 2000 Cobra R setup with TCE/Coleman two piece rotors with spare set of rings. Front hubs have one event on them.

Rear Suspension:

Full MM 3-link setup with Torque Arm and Panhard bar. Has Bilstein “race valved” shocks from MM in their coil over kit. Has MM adjustable rear bar with second “heavier” bar, MM lower Race control arms, stock 94 up cobra rear brakes. Rear axle was just refreshed with new 28 spline Superior Axles, (have 3 spare stock axles), Eaton diff was checked and is ready to go, new outer wheel bearings/seals, has 3.73’s, Differential Girdle.

Will include 4 Enkei RFP01 wheels that have two events. Have 4 2007 coded tires used in 2009 National champ race only. 4 Each 95 Cobra R rims for rains with 2004 date coded tires with 4 to 5/32 left on them. Front track width is 72.75” with enkei’s.

Spares/Supplies included:

New PFC 01 front pads and two HPDE spares, recent PFC 97 rears and one new set in box. Spare front rotor rings, one spare rear rotor, misc small engine items, spare stock bore and bare aluminum block ready for your rotating assembly available for another $350. 3 spare stock axle shafts, stock front spindles and a new front hub with ARP studs, spare upper halves of MM camber plates, spare brake line.

I am sure there is more to the details but this car was built with the mentality of keeping it simple. Most all parts on the car can be bought at Ford, Autozone or Hardware store so track boo-boos could be fixed at the track. Car has never had a mechanical failure preventing a race finish. Car is nearly neutral with rear bar adjustments. Too much invested but is your gain. Price is firm. Will not part out. Buyer is responsible for arranging transport after payment is verified. Will assist with delivery if within 400 miles or meet half way. 16’ open trailer with tire rack available for $1750.

PM me here for details or email at matt@aggie97.com. Pictures available on request but most of you know the car already.

Thanks.
