I have a set of Sabelt FIA belts that has an inked in expiration date of Feb 2010. Clear enough.

I looked at a set of Sparcos this weekend that said "replace before 2011".

I looked at a set of Schroth belts that said "good through 2013".

Just a heads up to point out the differences in the WAY a manufacturer displays the expiration dates on safety gear. Be prepared if your gear is called into question.

Even more fun is that some belts come with both FIA and SFI markings. NASA TX tech has in the past rejected belts that were out of date based on the SFI markings even though those same belts had FIA tags that were still in date.

I might have a set of dual rated belts where the SFI tags accidentally fell off...

I bought a set of FIA belts last year and they have both SFI and FIA tags.
Since the AI/CMC directors do our annual inspections can we get a verification these FIA belts are good for 5 years?

i will follow the FIA tag if it has both.
reason being is - both tags were likely put on at the same time. since SFI is 2 years and FIA is 5, the belts are still legal.
