With all this money I'm saving by not racing ...

Very nice Mitch! Love the V cars.... and like that it is not black or silver (which still look great).

You know... I bet it would make a great enduro car....

First complaint? Freaking Skip-a-Shift ...
Second? I feel like I'm stirring soup instead getting the next gear.

First suprise? pedal placement ... makes Heel/Toe downshifting a breeze.

I asked the guy if I were to bring it in for warranty work and it had a full cage in it, would that raise suspicion? He just looked at me with this skewed face ...

First complaint? Freaking Skip-a-Shift ...

Had this issue on the 2005 C6. Simple fix (electronic) for just a couple of bucks. NICE car Mitch.

As I was leaving the dealership, I was thinking ... is this all this heap has got?

There were various lights flashing and the Nav screen had some interesting messages on it.

Then I found the button called "PAH" and if you punch it twice, its like NAWZ.

Somewhere on the net is a video (LG?) where a juiced up V makes a 1/4mi pass. On the return road On-Star calls him saying the car called reporting an accident.

Nice (aggie) car.

Nice Mitch...

I need a four door car for hauling kids and have been looking for nice G8...but a V would certainly work.

You sure the ride isn't too harsh for you? Is this going to be the new spec car for the Over 50 class?

Sweet ride and I am jealous. Just like on the track don't be surprised to see me behind you in one, too. In August I'll need to be hauling kids around so the 68 may get the boot since it doesn't do baby seats.

JB is right-nice Aggie car.

There aren't many color options ...

There was

Mike Patterson black ...
Glenn Landrum silver ...
Barbie Blue ...   (was my original choice till I saw one in person)

And this ... Infrared!

It does rather nice at "hauling" kids around ...

I've been looking for a couple months. Prices are beginning to inch up ...

04-5s could be had in the 14-17K range ... now, they are 16-19K
06-7s could be had in the 18-20K range ... now, if you find an 06 for $22K it will be gone in a matter of hours.

There is a pretty nice 04 in Brownsville for $12,500. It has 125K miles and is not cosmetically in the greatest of shape and its black on black. But the car appears solid.

I saw this thing pop up Saturday morning on cars.com while using searchtempest.com and hankshelper.com. I sent an e-mail inquiry and also called.

Classic in Grapevine had just taken the car in on trade for a SUV and the car hadn't gone through their system. They expected it to be available Monday.

I called as soon as I got home, negotiated the asking price and said I was on my way to pick it up.

After a test drive and I agreed to take it, the salesman told me they had had 5 calls on it so far that morning.

I want first dibs on the 68.

Only thing wrong with Mitch's V is the standard. Three years in a C6 reminded me how much I like a slush box. I know I know.....I'm an old man. Flame suit on.

SUCKA...

I got a black Camaro for sale but you better wire the cash before the bank closes or I will have to sell it to one of the 10 guys parked out in front of the shop... they have buckets of cash but cuz we are such good friends I hold them off for an hour or two...

I'll call my banker for the confirmation.

Thanks, Buddy

I'll be by later with the Zaino, Mr. Warren.

How hard is it to disable the odometer for a few hundred... er, minutes.

I'm jealous Mitch.
Nice ride.
Ever since 2007 when I tried to purchase the Chef CTS-V with Katech power...I've been drooling over those cars.

Congrats! I have a firm grip on the GM slushboxes now....let me know if you want me to show you around.

Poser.

J/K - very nice ride man! +1 on the the annoying a$$ skipshift and sloppy shifter - you get used to them though. I've had the V about 6 months now and those are literally my ONLY complaints! Very impressive car all around...

Let me know when you want to learn some tricks - like how to make the DVD play while you're cruising. Which is just as distracting as it sounds.

I recently bought an 02 T/A and that (skip shift) was the first thing I changed. I'm a bit surprised the SLP part doesn't work for the Caddy's too.

Surely someone makes one for them. I prefer the ~$30 plug-n-play over the cheaper radio-shack-home-made version.

eeeeewwwww ... gross ... Mike Patterson black ... :P

SoS eliminator installed last week. Also the nut that holds the upper ball joint to the upper control arm on the right rear.

I bet Covini test drove it before I got to it.

What year model, Sam? Running with windows down cause any sail panel issues?

Mitch....I never drove that car but it sounds like all those GM's have a "skip shift slush box" transmission problem.

I knew it!

Skip-O-Shift is a mechanism that allows Fords to be competitive.

Think of it like adding a restrictor plate and 150lbs to a GM or throwing cam, heads, intake, headers, ignition, etc, etc, etc and subtracting 150lbs on a Mustang.

Make sense? :P

Why, so you can ask for 150lb weight break and a torque arm?

Maybe more, I haven't looked to see if the SHO's have a SLA front suspension.
