Jerry and I got this e-mail from Connie Stephens at HMRC ...
I just want to say again THANK YOU for my Winners' Circle trophy. It is
so special and how sweet that you fixed one up for me. I am still wondering who gave it up for Connie!
Mitch, I got to come by and say a personal thank you and good-bye at your raceport. Jerry, when I came by 5-6 you were not around, so I missed saying good-bye. Hope you both had uneventful trips home.
Let's stay in touch about 1. the possibility of the CMC guys running with the Indy Cars October 23-24 at Hallett and 2. maybe you making trophies for our COMMA series during the off-time this winter.
I love having your group at Hallett.

Not sure whose idea it was to give her the unused trophy, but that was a class act. Very nice and she very much appreciated it. And in case you didn't know, when Jerry showed her the trophies, she became overwhelmed with emotion. That winner's circle means a lot to the Stephens'.

The Indy car thing is interesting.
Apparently, and from a foggy memory, Hallett has 4 Indy car teams coming to Hallett for the weekend above and wants our group to be on the card that weekend.
No clue as to cost, tracktime, exposure, etc. She just wants to know if we would be interested.
It would probably see some magazine coverage and probably local TV news coverage.
I would be willing to drag back up there in late October ....
