Many thanks to Dave Diehl at Hyper Performance Motorsports Inc. (http://www.hyperperformancemotorsports.com) for providing ALL our AI/CMC National Championship participants with new series windshield banners! With Dave's assistance, new CMC, CMC2, AI and AIX windshield banner designs provided an attractive, bold, clean & consistent image for our series. Todd and I couldn't be any happier with the look and feel of them...and hopefully after seeing the photo coverage from the event, you will too.
For those who had not seen photos from the 2010 Nationals yet, each series design is a variation of the American red/white/blue colors.
AIX - red background with white lettering & blue trim
AI - blue background with white lettering & red trim
CMC2 - white background with blue lettering & red trim lines
CMC - grey background with white lettering & red trim lines
The banners were provided by each race director Wednesday night. (ok...ok...we only gave everyone 12 hours to install them before the sunrise photo shoot Thursday morning, but you guys & gals came thru swimmingly!!) On track, the logos & colors clearly delineated each series cars as they ran side by side. (Made for some exciting race viewing too!) HPM was kind enough to send us plenty for Nationals, and we used quite a bit of them as well. There are 2 versions of each banner....Straight & Curved...and HPM did their homework to indicate which body styles required a straight banner and which cars needed a straight one. They even provided best practice tips for installing the banners and gave us a centerline indication!
Details are still being worked out, however, it is my our expectation that these banners be provided at no cost to the racer for entering their car in the series...as we did at Nationals. Check 'em out next time you see 2010 Nationals photos!
