FWIW, I hate scary movies. Not only am I buying tickets, but I'm going to actually watch this in the theater, and buy several DVD's when they become available.

As to whether I'll go -- it ain't likely. Amy doesn't like that kind of movie and kitchen passes are damned near impossible to get now that Emily has arrived. I'll have to see it on PPV maybe.

PA2 broke a few records this weekend - highest ever midnight opening for an "R" rated film ($6.3M vs. $4.6M for 'Watchmen"), and highest opening weekend gross - ever - for a horror movie - $41.5M (although I've seen $43.5M posted as well).

It beat out Matt Damon's new movie, "Hereafter".

PA2's budget was $3M. PA1 was shot for $15,000, and made $194M. This is why many actors are also producers.
