Does anyone have old old AICMC Texas results, as in before the internet was invented? I seached on here and found 2010-2006.

Was just framing my Ironman award  and was curious as who has the most consecutive starts. I mentioned to Michael that his tricycle accident ended a really long streak for him.
If you negate a DQ and assume the zero's really mean they didn't start the race, I think it's as follows...

Proctor with 55 races from 3/07 @ MSRC (after the Houston brake failure?) to 6/10 @ Hallet (after a rear end failure).

Mosty with 69 races from 6/07 @ MSRH to 7/10 @ TWS.

The wildcard is Glenn with 46+ from *sometime before* 2/06 to last race of 07. I know he mentioned something at one time about completing so many laps/races on the lead lap when he first started.

I've got 64 races and counting from my first race 3/08 at MSRC to ECR in 2010 (assuming I can get this LT1 to work). Now that I've said that, watch out for a spectacular engine explosion at MSRH from the #32 car.

And yes, I am procrastinating putting up Christmas lights.

I made every race from 2005 thru 2007. I missed my first race in 2008 when I was teamed up w/ Al and he was racing forus at the first event of 2008. 2006/2007 also include 2 National events.

Let me see what I can come up w/.

Here is 2005/6 points.
2005 - 24 races. 2006 - 26 races.
2006 Nats - 3 races
2007 Nats 3 races.

Also, not sure how your counting these. I never missed a start of a race that my car was in attendance of due to a mechanical till this year. The wreck was my first.

And Mitch has never missed a race that he started either. :D (Cue "How'd I get dragged into this?" - Mitch)

Actually, a better example would be Michael. His car never missed a start of a race that his car was in attendance of due to a mechanical either. HE had the mechanical. Should that still count?

I remembered you and Al teamed up, but couldn't remember 100% who drove, I thought it was Al in his car. If you drove your car, then IMHO, I'd say that continues your streak. I'd think that would get kinda funky as far as Ironman goes if you tried to count the races that your short term teammate runs in his car. With the right 'team' someone could claim Ironman even if they personally/their car did not start the race.

You also let Nick R run in the last race at TWS in April 09. Maybe it should be IronCar.

*edit* Not that any of this really matters. It's not like it's sig worthy material. Just more for fun :D

I have had the car at every event since the beginning of 2006.
I should have brought my leftover hydrocodone to TWS as extra encouragement to race. 8)

I believe that I have been at every event since 2005.... even if the car was in pieces... I attended...

Yay! Now that MyLaps is up, I guess it's official.

I've now started/earned points in 100 consecutive races*

*every CMC race that NASA Texas has held since R1 at Cresson, 2008 (my first event in CMC) til R4 of TWS this past event. That of course doesn't include Nationals or enduros which I havn't partaken in. No DQ's or Zero's.

Missed a few practices and quals, and by no means have I finished every race distance. I did just 'take the green' last year at TWS after dynoing 202hp Saturday evening. I thought the engine was on it's way out after a misshift on Saturday (which turned out to only be a plug wire that fell off!). In R3, I did however pass Boudy and Jordon on the warmup lap when they dropped out with issues. R3 and R4 that weekend, I made a few laps til I could see the AI guys on the front straight as I was going into T1 and then I came in that lap so not to interfere. I've been fortunate to break stuff that's been fixable before the next race. Other times I got lucky and broke during the last race of the weekend. Let's just not factor in % of wins :)

Congratulations Gary! We should also mention recruits that stem from your participation, either directly or indirectly, including myself, Ben Northrup, Jeff Tilton, Nick V, and soon to be Pranav and hopefully Rami. Way to grow the series by SHOWING UP and HAVING A GOOD TIME! That's what it's all about.

Great job... it is a big accomplishment....especially when you look around the garage see a lot of failures or missing folks.

Don't let it die. I was pissed when my streak died.
This has to be some type of NASA record.

Congrats Gary! I can't even fathom all the things that *could* get in the way of 100 consecutive races. Respect!!
