I've been a member here for a while, but never posted before.

This car was built 2 years ago by Law Motorsports, the once-famous Teal Car. Hope they don't mind me linking to their website, which has older pictures of the car:

This car was built with CMC2 in mind; I bought it to do track days with. They were going to run it as an enduro car, and thus the headlights are still there, but they are not wired up. I don't think there is anything done to the car that is against the CMC2 rules, but I make no guarantees. If you have a question, please ask. I can take more pictures if needed.

Why am I selling it? Some friends and I have decided to go LeMons/Chumpcar racing, and I don't need multiple track cars. This one just won't get used enough to justify keeping it. Plus, someone out there needs to go CMC racing; just not me......


Right side head restraint included, not mounted.
Halon, 2 nozzle fire system
12" 98+ dual piston calipers
Poly front suspension bushings
All ball joints ant tie rods also replaced right after I bought the car
Driver accessible brake proportioning valve
Bilstien shocks
Adjustable front sleeves
900/300 springs
Aluminum driveshaft
B&M Shifter
Turn 1 style power steering pump built by a guy in Dallas
LS1 F-Body power steering cooler (liquid/liquid, in-line with a radiator hose)
Rear control arms and panhard bar replaced with aluminum rods and rod ends
Autometer Sport Comp gauges (Water temp, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp)
I made the switch panel using Front Panel Express; switches are lit when on.
With no seats and 5/8 tank of fuel, car weighed just under 3000 lbs.
Carbotech pads, XP12 on front, XP10 on rear. Pads and rotors have a lot of life left in them; I'm really easy on brakes.


Seat and belts are not included, but the mounts will be left in the car.

When installed in the car, the motor reportedly had 55,xxx miles on it. I have replaced the coil, replaced the alternator, and fixed an oil leak on the water pump seal; the motor is otherwise untouched. The motor does leak a little oil when it sits. Not enough to register on the dipstick, just enough to slip on after you move the car. It doesn't smoke at all while running. I think it's the oil pan gasket, but it's just never bothered me enough to try and fix it, since it doesn't smoke.

It was an untested car when I bought it, and we had a few teething pains. But I've done about 15 track days with it in the last 18 months, with no major issues. I boiled the power steering fluid, and then installed the cooler. I also enlarged and reinforced the front air dam to assist cooling. It helped a little, but in the summer heat, it runs hot; a bigger aluminum radiator and oil cooler would fix that up. If the air temp is below 90, the temps are generally acceptable; it's the really hot days it needs help.

If I were going to run it next weekend, all it needs is an inspection and a brake bleeding; otherwise, it's good to go.

Spares:
16" GM wheels galore: The 4 on the car have some old Toyo RA1's on them. A lot of rubber is left, but they have many, many heat cycles on them. I also have a set of full tread RA1's. They are several years old, and only have 3 wet sessions at Harris Hill Road on them. I also have one old RA1 that can still be used as a spare. I have 8 more rims, 4 empty, and 4 with corded RA1's mounted on them. That's a total of 17 wheels.

I have an aluminum radiator I was going to install. It's a Griffin with a bung welded on for the head return line. It's the right size, but you'll need to mount it, and it will need an aftermarket fan; I think the factory fans are too thick to fit with a bigger radiator.

When I delivered the car to Tobey at TWS, I spent the first 10 or so laps of its life behind the wheel.

The car ran strong ... impressively strong. It felt better than my car!

Glenn, we need to stop building them better than our own cars.

The rotors in the pic are not CMC legal, but thats $30-$60 each to fix.
Car looks the same as me and Mitch built it save for the switch's in the dash.
Mitch talks about how well this car handled to this very day.

Not a bad price for this car at all. If we built one to this level upon request, the tab would be well over $15k.

Pretty much. Switch panel, gauges, and power steering cooler are the only real changes. It still runs strong, and is a blast to drive. I last had it out at MSR Houston last month.

Someone could buy the car this month, hit the dyno day in January, and easily make the season opener with a solid, dependable car.
