I've already heard from 1 friend that slid into a curb and broke a wheel off his truck... luckily he left the vette in the garage today.

On a happier note, here are the dogs enjoying the weather (until Darcie pelted Harman with a snowball).

Read thread title...

At first glance at this post... the words "slid", "curb" and "broke" caught my eye. Thought it was going to be about another attemped mailbox/tree hit.

The first 60 seconds of my morning:

Darcie looking out the back windows, "It's snowing outside!"

Darcie immediately walks back into the bedroom, opens the blinds, "The mailbox is still there!"

We only got 2" of snow last night and no ice under the snow like they did south and east of us. Driving in this morning it was twice as hard to spin the tires as it was in R3 and R4 on Sunday at MSRH.

Still snowing here and we already have about 8-10 inches on the ground.

4-5" in Denton. Roads were fine driving to Gainesville. Started to snow once I got to work... Now there is another 3" on the ground. Crap! Gonna love the 45 mile commute back home this afternoon. :(

Yep, about 4" here as well. We have ice under it though.
Wed morning, I left to Marble Falls. If was pretty bad until about Itaska/Hillsboro. Once past there it was good thru Waco, Temple and over to Marble Falls. I was there at Horseshoe Bay till just before 2pm yesterday. I left and went back up 281 to Hico (fewer dumbass's per mile). About 10-15 miles from Hico it was getting icy. I took 220 out of Hico and worked my way over to Glen Rose where it started getting pretty bad. It was very icy from there thru Granbury and up to Fort Worth. I left at 1:45pm and was home by 5:15pm. 8)

I stayed home Tuedsay (from work) and took the girls to lunch (kind of a family tradition every time it snows). Morgan was laughing at folks who were in the ditch. Looks like a good day for some Hooters wings or Fuzzy's Taco's and a few laugh's on the way. Lunch anyone?

Morgan was laughing at folks who were in the ditch. I saw a guy this morning about 20' into the grass between the beltway feeder and the main lanes.

That in itself is fine... but i didn't see a continuous set of tire tracks from the curb to the truck. I'm guessing he got some air, Liebbe style, off the curb.

My buddy Beaus truck after hitting a patch of ice last night here in conroe. Looks more like your buddy's truck after FINDING a patch of ice at speed and hitting a concrete wall.

Still sucks.
