I had an absolute blast this weekend. Going 2-wide with Frank for two full laps during R3 was the best time of the weekend. Once I saw that Michael was "back there" and trying to checkout from the CMC-2 guys, I knew it was time to do the "single file" game and bring the pace up.

Thankfully I think my tie-rod issues are finally behind me, as I was using the curbing this weekend and had zero worries of a failure.

Everything on the car ran flawlessly. I really felt like it was a "plant the gas steer" situation.

On a side note, I ran 888's on Friday and all I can say is WOW, it's amazing how much better RA1's are in the same tread depth and realitive age... The 888 was Toyo's biggest mistake IMHO...

Thanks again to everyone for a great weekend. See everyone at TWS in 7 weeks!!!

I can vouch from the sideline on that. Marshall's car looked glued to the ground through Big Bend. Looked like a lot of good racing.

You guys were the stars of the show for the standing start on R3. By far the most people of the weeekend stopped and watched that one.

Another great weekend get-away. Thanks to Ed and Randy for helping me track down my charging issue. Fun running with all the guys. While I had nothing for Marshall this weekend, I was pretty happy with myself given the new brake set-up on a relatively new, very technical track. Had a good time cooking with Randy and Brian and helping to feed the hord. The phrase "sock it to me" has new meaning. Look forward to TWS. FMR

Thanks for posting my videos, Mitch. I had a great weekend. Racing is the most amazing rush! I think I did great because I had my girl posse there watching me....couldn't look bad for my women. The inverted races were totally awesome....being able to run with the fast guys. I was racing on full tread Toyos, and it wasn't bad. Looking forward to TWS.

James,

I have watched this ten times now. At 3:58 3:59 or so this is where I thought you pushed me off the track. If I had stayed on track I'm sure we would have hit. I jumped the curb. Your front end pushed and you went from the far right side of the track to the far left side in one second. I have an open mind on this. Am I looking at it wrong?

After look at it ten more times I think I see what happened. James had to hit the brakes to keep from hitting Dan in the rear and I got hosed when his car pushed to the left. Would not be so bad but when I ask James about it he did not even remember seeing me on the track. I don't understand that.

The vids from Steve's car were shot on a Flip.

I installed Flipshare and exported to a local disc and then used Aura Converter (freeware) to convert to 720x480 @ 30fps WMV.

Are you able to sync and reassign time code in your editor software?

In the past I have found a common point and zeroed all time code at that point. And then in the hours of the time code, I manually insert the car number.

In Premeire Pro its called rerender or redigitize or something ike that.

Allows to keep track of where in the race everyone is and the car I'm using at the time.

Do you know how hard it is to fig out 11 camera's and... One of the things I like about Vegas Pro is just that:

MulticamEdit multicamera productions intuitively and quickly by specifying shots as you watch your project. Switch between as many as 32 video sources with a keyboard command or a click of your mouse. Vegas Pro 10 software keeps all unused shots — expand a multicamera track into component events to make it easier to see which videos are in the Vegas project and refine the edit.

It really needs a good sized monitor once you get over 6 or 8... once you sync them up, you can see small previews of all of them at once and just "call" them director style...

"Go 8"
In 3 gimme 11... 3,2,1... now"

And it still didn't work in Adobe Premeire after that.

But, I downloaded a program called Aura Converter and it converted to WMV quickly and with out any drama.

It took the 1.2G Flip original and compressed it to under 100M and maintained audio sync!

I'll be there. Look for a guy in the stands with no shirt and a "DG" painted on his chest.

Totally unprepared for the cold wind. We saw your transfer race. The car looked good.

But as soon as the sun went down, it got freaking cold in those stands.

It was the same here. I froze but rear off at the local track last night.

Dave....Congrats on the good finish. I would really like to come watch you race, but that 2-1/2 drive there would have been killer on the way home.

Thanks, I was very happy that I built her frame up and got real close on are first race with out any test and tune time. Yep I know 2 1/2 is a killer but we did get done by 10:00 clock, We have a couple of guys from Oklahoma that drive down to race with the Sprint Series of Texas, SST will be a Devils Bowl this year I know it is not closer but its one hell of a track to race at, and it will be another first time track for me also as well as most of all the road racing tracks LoL

Glenn was very disappointed that you didn't mention him as a two time national champ and being your special guest during driver introductions.

He is way too humble to mention that, so I thought I'd do it for him.

O Dam I did forget to say something,,LoL , I think that was the smallest crowd I have ever seen at a race track.. Kennedale Speedway Park has the best seating in Texas and right next door to Cowtown we race there in two weeks , am working on video, just got pinnacle studio 15 so trying to fig it out, might just jump back to my cheep one and learn later :(
