I read this thread on the National site and kept thinking something was wrong with the pics. I finally noticed it's the fact that the cars don't have a dent in any of the fenders. I think our cars are supposed to look like this also. Do they not race as close as we do or do they race to the rules and stay off each other?

I bet they are all mid-pack slackers.

Maybe they just fix their cars more often.
I know at Hallett last year Bryans car had the front end gone after the contact with Balingit. I think two years ago Bobs car took a pretty good bang in the rear from Chris McComb.

I erad a few weeks ago that at Infinion a few cars slid into walls in the rain and damaged the fronts of their cars.
Contact happens all across the nation whether a region races with 5 cars or 15. We are all human and might "run out of talent" at some point in our racing career. The important thing is to learn from mistakes moving forward.

I noticed some interesting Aero (air dams) on the 30 and 64.

Having had body contact with White, Denton and Owens.... they race close just like you guys. We are just quick at doing body work.

Of the 8 CMC2 cars at Infineon, 4 sustained damage, 1 rather seriously ($9000 to Larry Klamecki's S197...the one that just got a new DS door and fender). The other 3 cars (Nick Steel, Jeremy Bua, and myself) all managed mostly cosmetic damage. Fortunately, I had a spare DS fender and nose in the garage, so within a day or so, I changed everything out. The fender was already painted, the nose wasn't. And likely won't get painted any time soon, nor with the big scratches down the side of the car.

Thanks for noticing. We race just as close here as anyone anywhere else. We are trying to keep the racing just as close without the body damage.

Most of what you see there are several new guys and new cars, with the exception being Bob's car, he is lucky the side of his car is white otherwise you would see the wrinkles in the picture.

As for the lack of Mustangs, we have a few of them working through the ranks. We will still be mostly F-bodies.

Hope to see you all at Nationals.
