Fell below 2300 mW rolling reserves. That's basically one baseline plant.
If one plant had tripped ....

More of the same for today and probably the next few days.

Seriously, I was hoping that there was a chance for nuclear to come back with the French model - smaller, cookie-cutter plants where all of the engineering is done and mature.

Unfortunately the Japanese disaster probably killed any chance for new nuclear plants.

It is... what's your point? It's tight but not end of the world. There's about 2,000-2,500MW of load that comes off at something like 59.97 Hz.

Good thing the PUCT didn't let you opt out of that expensive smart meter so you can buy all those cool time of day services.
