JJ I love the quote about compacting gumbo; what were they thinking? I know nothing about dirt but could have told you that.

They are bringing in 9 feet of base or soil then 11" of blacktop. Do any of the tracks we race on have that much asphalt on it? I guess this could show why ECR did not hold up.

For reference, Daytona was just resurfaced with 5" of asphalt (2" Base Course, 1.5" Leveling Course, 1.5" Wearing Course). Don't know what any of it means, just a point of reference.
