Looking for a trailer or thinking of upgrading from your current open trailer? I'm looking to supersize so I want to sell my current one. Its a 22 foot box on 5,200lb torsion axles. Two rows of E-track on front 1/3 of side walls and front wall. Tire racks on both side walls. Six D ring floor tie downs (four in back, two in front). Good tires, two spares. Black exterior, white painted plywood walls, grey painted plywood floor. Made in 2003 by Kendall Trailer in Miami. $4k to someone in Thunder.
**SOLD**

Where are you located? Do you have pictures? Does it have wiring for a/c? Thank you!

You will have to clean out the Porsche smell.

I looked back on another trailer thread, you pretty much have to have a 3/4 ton truck to pull one of these fully loaded correct?

Lol... But unfortunately my 1/2 ton will not pull it.....I need a open trailer or a 3/4 ton LOL

I dont agree. I pull it with a 1/2 ton suburban, and those are sprung softer than 1/2 ton pickups. I use a load levelling hitch and the suburban sits right. You cant tow 85mph, but you can hang at 60-65 all day long. Pulled it from San Francisco to Houston, I've towed to Hallett, etc. Even if the trailer weighs 4k (which I doubt), plus a race car, plus tools and crap it should still be in the low to mid 8,000lb range. My suburban has a 9200lb tow rating. YMMV

The 1/2 ton will definitely pull it, you'll just get poor fuel mileage (comparatively) and it will be a little harder on your engine. It might not be a good long term solution but it would work short term. I would jump all over this trailer if I had the cash. If you haven't seen it is in great shape.

The trans is the weak link here. The 4L60E is OK. As a point of reference......
I have a 2001 2500HD. It has the 4L80E in it. I burned up the clutches in the converter (lock-up clutches) by towing 80 MPH w/ my big ass 24ft'er. I didn't facter in the wind load on the converter and the damage it would do. Wind drag at 80 is big. Ended up having to rebuild the whole trans and tune the trans points in the PCM to up line pressure and firm up the shifts. Otherwise, the 6.0Lter is plenty strong. Any truck w/ the 5.3 can be upgraded to the 6.0 (direct bolt-in). My 6.0lter will eventually get stroked and bored to well over 400ci (goal is 427). And if thats not enough, rear mount turbo w/ interooler.

I bought $200 worth of stuff to wire the trailer including a super heavyduty extension cord to plug into the RV. Think I used most of the stuff or it got "borrowed", anyway I can do any electrical work you need...
