I saw prices the other day. No way in heck am I going to pay those prices to watch any race.

Those are just the PSL's right? and 'premiium' seats at that. I didn't see individual tickets for sale, or some sort of general admission.
and besides, who wants to be tied down to a single seat? Hopefully you'll be able to roam the track and stop along the course at various spots. maybe 'berm' seating. much better way to sample the event.

I'm going regardless. only a 30 mile drive.

I'm going for sure. Looking at the other GP's (Aust, Canada, Europe, GB), general addmission tickets are around $100-$200 each. I'm sure that's less than a Celine Dion concert.

$405 for a 2-day ticket to the Abu Dhabi GP back in Nov-2010.
$80-450 each for a Celine Dion concert (Depends on where you want to sit)
