Anyone know these guys? I have watched about half a dozen of the shows Fast and Loud and the Richard cat is a bit of a smart-ass but Aaron (his partner) is a hell of a mechanic.

Last nights show he bought a 1953 Woodill Woodfire (I never heard of them but they made less than 10 of them). He paid $40,000.00 for it, recovered the seats, painted the top of the car black, and added $20,000.00 worth of wire wheels (yes five grand apiece). Sold the car for $100,500.00.

I like Counting Cars better but this is worth watching.

So last night on the show Richard and this English guy went to MSRC and raced for $5000.00 in a LG 800 HP Vette. Richards best time was 1:31 and the English guy ran a 1:28. I thought that was funny for a Vette with Hoosiers and 800 HP. If I remember Jeff ran a 1:23 at 230 HP and what 3200 lbs?
I sent Richard an e-mail this morning inviting him out to ECR to watch us and maybe come race with us someday.........who knows.

I haven't seen that one yet. That is pretty slow for that much potential. You should hit him up for a sponsorship sticker :)

Already did.
Here he is at MSRC. He has won the Cannonball or something like it two times. Once avering over 87 mph.

Yeah, his pace at MSRC in that vette was not that great...a 1:33 on the short course?

Hey did you see the 2nd Gen Camaro in the background with the "American Iron" banner on the "Fast and Loud" with the racing Ford Falcon? I kept pausing it and finally caught a good enough glimpse of the name banner. Looks like it said "Alexander" someone's car just got famous :)

I saw that. I want to know where Aaron thinks he is going to race that Falcon. Unless he is going to use it for a track day car it would have to be in AIX (with no other cars). Maybe SCCA has a class for it.

on anchient dry rotted street tires.... and it's not like it takes much cornering skill to blast down the highway at 100+ :)

Falcon was a pretty cool car - may just be something fun to drive that's safe on track

2nd gen American Iron Camaro "Alexander" - sounds like Wiley Alexander's car - was it purple?

yep - Purple(ish) with yellow (?) trim in places, kind of a Penske-ish Sunoco scheme

I was sure I saw that mechanic (Aaron?) behind the wheel of a small (PTE?) sedan a couple times during the MSRC weekend. Both times there was a passenger and no helmet or suit on either so it was like they were coming back/going to lunch or something.
Then again I was busier than mustard trying to ketchup all weekend so I might have been seeing things... :/

So I have a story on the Falcon... small world.

For those of you that don't know, I work for an aircraft seat manufacturer for commercial aviation. I've worked with American Airlines for years and one of their senior interior guys was a big car nut. His name was Jim Hadden. He had a garage a few doors down from Gas Monkey and I've seen that Falcon in person a few years back. It was originally being setup for the Pan America Road Race. Jim had a meticulous attention to detail. He finally retired from American Airlines and moved to Florida. Part of the retirement was selling the shop, the Falcon, and another hot rod that he sold to a personal friend.

Here is one of the news story on the program Jim and I ran between Weber (now Zodiac Seats US) and American Airlines.

So it's your fault those seats can be placed too close together?

Look up CVAR, Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing. Cars from your era! ;) Great weekends to watch at TWS.

For American Airlines, their domestic fleet is going to crush down... The "more legroom thru coach" is going away and the majority of aircraft will be 30" pitch. Their current aircraft are between 32-33". It only gets worse as American's as a whole get bigger.

Airplanes get heavier, which burn more fuel, which requires more heavy passengers to offset more fuel needed = less room and a more expensive ticket.

Yep sure great to see those CVAR races. Though when they have a wreck it is expensive...and tragic.

Just watched the most recent Fast and Loud. Had a sweet unrestored 69 Boss 429 that clean and polished up amazingly.
Also has an ugly ass 72 Mustang they advertised was up for auction on their website. I personally wouldn't even consider anything close to $10k for the car but the Ebay auction is currently at $200k!!!! I guess die-hard fans just want a car that was on the show. Unbelievable what someone would pay.

I was watching the ebay auction yesterday... I almost have to believe that is someone messing around. That is a less than $20K car for sure. It did look way better with paint, stripes and wheels though.
