Just like the Romans and the Greeks the people have decided they want the government to pay for everything. It's all down hill from here. Like Margret Thatcher said "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money". Where is my free cell phone?

The people that fund this dog and pony show, and by that I mean the "real" tax payers must organize and unite in order to effect change. This election has proven that the takers are now the majority. The government will continue to increase their roles and thus control itself until we, the payers, start laying off people, stop production and stop buying goods. This is the only thing that will get their attention. I am not sure if we have the stones for it, so therefore we are screwed.

The title to my post this morning was "There Goes The Racing Budget!" Taxes will be going up by more than a years racing budget. That will be great for the economy but at least there will be more money for food stamps since every $1 in food stamps generates $1.73 in economic benefit-what a crock! Maybe there will be a government assistance program for CMC and we could pick up some welfare drivers.

So how do you effect change? I'm not sure the economy continuing to plunge is going to do it. Hell, it will probably get people more fired up about socialist policies since all of the pundits will be out saying "see, you have no choice but to rely on Uncle Sam!"

...this is the begining of the end... Well, in some ways it always has been "the beginning of the end," this Great Experiment in self lead government. BUT... it is not lost. This is still the greatest country on the planet.


So how you you effect change?Is the wrong question - "How do I effect change?" is the better one. I have the phone numbers of my Congressman and the one Senator that mattered in my cell phone; soon to have Mr. Cruz's. When was the last time you emailed or called yours?

--Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

--We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.

--You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding

a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

--We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

--You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

--We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

--You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

--We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

--You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

--We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

--You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

--We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.</SPAN>

--We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."

--I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World".

--We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

--Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

If coming back would get Ford Racing to give me a Coyote Crate Motor at 50% off as part of a sponsorship deal promoting all AI Ford products, sure. Oh wait, they only support the S197 and Rehagen/Semi Pro drivers. Well then. No.

I closed a deal to sell my AI motor yesterday to a drag racer in East TX so you guys are safe from the Monster 2V. The AI motor will be replaced with an ST2 motor which has room to grow to an ST1/SU motor. I'm tired of spending a fortune and still going "slow". If I am going to spend a fortune, I am going to put the throttle to "ludicrous speed" and experience what warp drive is like. Goal is 500rwhp. Should be stupid fun!

I've never tried calling mine, though I do email both about once a month. Usually hovering over the same topics. I save them all along with their responses. Usually the responses are canned forms.

I have called them, emailed them, written to them, personally gone to Austin and knocked on their doors and spoke with them. They could care less about anything other than themselves. They are all scum. The system is down, we are off-line, the boat is sinking. And Mitch, come on, you know all of that stuff is George's fault.

Current admin and most of the Fed/Congress does not seem to care who the landlord is so as long as we can print the rent money they will do so. Anyone remember the Dems floating the test balloon about a Constitutional amendment in 1998 to reverse term limit for the president? Odds are we'll hear it again in 2 years or so.
