Craig,

Are you okay today? That was a lick. I was watching how much you got thrown around. Hope you are feeling alright today.

I did notice you had one hand on the wheel and one on the shifter. Looks like something I would do.

Bit bruised around the rib cage and a few aches and pains but other than that the safety gear did its job well. I'm going to pull the data tonight from the logger, the G numbers will be interesting.

Jerry,

I want to see that video plus Michael's from R2 and Glenn's from R4.
Since Jay brings the cameras and did not make the event I have zero video of my wins. Wish I had video of my passes of Rob and Shawn and the hardest guy in the field to pass.....David Francis. Without David's help Glenn, Michael and James would have finished in front. Thanks Mr. Francis!

I just have to say - dood! Holy cow was R4 stoopid. I'll have to work on some speed so I don't keep slowing up the show ponies. It would be nice to see some video (I think Glenn said he has some too) to prove the #39 was actually going straight at some point... didn't really feel like it. That was every bit of 10/10ths as I know it. Not quite sure how we all stayed on in 1/2 that many times as hot as we got in there.

Raise your hand if you were in Balingit's car - I was so nice to point you by, that you responded by promptly driving right off in two; thanks.

In R3 I did have a chance to see first hand the "Corey Manuever" performed to perfection on Doc Proctor... I was looking to make sure there weren't any cones way down there.

I'll get some vid cut down soon...

That was Trevor McCallion, Spec Miata SD and 3rd place Nationals finisher. Driving in the dirt is pretty typical for him but he had an absolute blast running with you big boys! Thanks for letting him play! :-)

Craig- so glad you are ok! Keep sipping that whiskey and alternating your Tylenol and ibuprofen (that is my professional opinion!)

I've got some videos of the starts- who wants them? I don't have a you tube account- not interested...let me know who to send them to if you want to see them...Facebook is about as much social media as I can take! I've actually got vids of the starts both standing and waving all season long- most of them shot from the various starter stands. Wade said he would help me get them on the FTP site for whoever is doing the year end video this year. I've got some good ones....just edit out the f bomb I dropped when Casey didn't go in Houston! :-)

Great weekend- as always- thanks for letting me reign as the Queen of Thunder!

Yup all tires. The only 'body' damage on either car was a flare pushed in on our (WWR Mustang #34) and some scratches on the wheel from the panel right behind Craig's (#65) door. His rear flare wasn't even scratched showing the tire went right over ours.

I'll give props where they are due-Congrats. I'm really happy for Jerry and Kathy, too. Really neat to hear from someone after their first win and his emotions. I know what it meant to Jerry. I guess all he needed was some extra seattime. But Wow-not just one first win but two in the same weekend. I pulled in early and enjoyed seeing the #55 take the checkered for the win in R4. The butcher's bill:
Diff housing bent approx 7 or 8 degrees.
Upper right torq box small weld repair required
Right rear shock tower small weld repair required
Right rear shock (brand new AST I might add) hoping the bend in the rod can be straightened
Right lower control arm slight bend and bit of a twist for good measure
New rear wheel not new anymore along with tire
Gonna replace all effected fasteners as a precaution

The rear end came out without any external persuasion which is a promising sign no further chassis tweaking has occurred. Will know more with the new diff housing installed and corner weights compared to pre race.

To be honest not as bad as I had anticipated.

Hey guys, the help is very much appreciated on all counts. Housing Mk 2.1 is stripped and ready for camber, paint and bearings. Good excuse for a northern tool trip for a shop press and also a porta power body work set.

Managed to avoid a trip to Brazil this week so hope to be back on four wheels before the week is out. I haven't entered yet but should be confident by the end of next weekend.

The beauty of this series is the help given off track is on par with the competitiveness on track. Thanks again.

The cheering was Richard and I. Richard was especially excited and was cheering like that for the last three or four laps. I believe that is your wife in the foreground of the video as well.

Add this picture just after the race while waiting for tech. He won with his eyes closed - WOW!!!! Your wife was funny, she was standing on the other side of the car like she didn't want to get in the way. I gave her a look and she came around to congratulate her hero.

Where in the CMC rules does it say you can wear a watch...

I did not weld any spacers to it.

That's good cause it will give you quicker steering response due to less rotational mass.

I figured out part of my TWS issues on why the car was way down on power... The SPOUT connector was unplugged and the car never advanced past it's base timing on 10-deg BTDC.

Oops...

Also, ran a leakdown and found the heads leaking past either valve guides, or valve seats. 3 cylinders had more than 8% leakdown. One of those had 20%...

Bought a new set of AFR 165's and got them on the car today. Seems to idle/rev fine. No smoking like had at TWS. Hopefully that issue is resolved.

However, transmission is leaking from the front seal, so that will need to come back out and the diff cover needs to be resealed as well.

I guess it will give me the ability to reshim the 'ole Trak-Lok.

I'll dyno at some point either this month or between X-mas and new years and hit Cresson for a shake down prior to Houston.
