2013 AI CMC Year in Review

You have at least two options 1) upload to the FTP site 2) copy to flash drive/burn to CD/DVD and bring to ECR.

Pass on your music selections as well.

My son wants me to make another run at bringing Jerry home since I have to give the Golden Helmet up...

Alright... schedule will get tight if there's a mid Dec banquet. Also, if you feel froggy throw your own together so we can whoop up on the RM Boyz and bring Jerry back home to Texas and gives more perspectives on the years happenings.

IF you suxor at the interwebz:
-Burn your files to disc/DVD and mail them to me
-Mail me the SD card with the files on it
-Mail me a USB thumb drive

IF your RULEZ da WEB - get the FTP information and upload stuff
-Upload the native, i.e. original resolution if you can
-If you can trim the raw clips to just the interesting stuff, leave about 5 seconds on each end
-Name the files something that makes sense: CMC39_AprTWS_R3_clip1
-I think there are folders for each event already

So... logically, running three cameras (front/rear/driver) you should have TONS of footage from four races finished. What about the ones you started?

No driver camera, my helmet makes my head look big. I don't think I have much since I was typically unprepared and messing with my car instead.

I do have some video of Patterson flying by me at TWS. I'll see if I can find that.

The fender and curbing views were all done with little keyfob cameras. They had wide angle lenses on them I think, so the images/cars were actually closer.

Year In Review UPDATE

This is more to level set than anything else - the only real issue is whether I'll have a full plate of copies at the banquet AND whether or not the Lone Star Edition goes public beyond us.

I was finally able to watch the "director's cut" last night on the 65" living room TV.

Found one big glitch after a last minute edit (black screen gets your attention) and some little stuff i might yet tweak, but nothing fatal. Scott did me the favor of suffering through it as a guniea pig and absolutely hated it... so bring plenty of adult beverage.

The way I do the math, the 2005-2014 run makes next year 10 years of videos - who would have ever thought? Pressure is on for the next *cough*<COUGH>Gary/Wade/Varner*cough*<COUGH> guy.

It has been fun doing it again, though I'm sure Kimberly is glad for Saturday to get here - more so because the 2010 State Champion Pearland Oilers look strong once again and she'll be at that game during the banquet.

150+ Gb of raw data / 13 cars with video / pictures / spins / "minor" contact / the keeping up of international relations / 70-80-90-2000s tunes - it's all in there.

No animals were harmed in the production and everybody in the group has pretty thick skin - great year of racing and looking forward to 2014!

So I've got a stack of these DVDs and I throw in one of the last ones to look at... stupid thing is 4:3. This burning DVD thing is more trouble than a carbed 302 Ford.

I have a 16:9 .WMV on disc and thumb drive so if you're rational you want one of those. I'll grab some more discs and see what I can get burned for Saturday.

Or we'll just give them to Balingit to give away in HPDE.

And Derek Wright didn't get mentioned in the credits for the in car... But, since that happened out of state it may not really count any way... right?
