After making babies, I've spent a little time in the garage. Not quite done, but I'll get to learn yet another setup on the car.

I've always wanted a panel dash, but just didn't want to mess with the wiring. Now I know why. I've worked for 20+ hours and I'm still not done wiring. Painless or not... this part sucks!

Bending all new brake lines to move the ABS pump was a royal PITA, but hopefully worth the weight transfer off the nose.

To get rear spring rates to match with the front, a new set of Bilstein Race Valve #2's and 350lb C/O's were necessary.

MM SN-95 Forward offset A-Arms with delrin bushings and Steeda X-2 balljoints should help out the horrible geometry.

I'm looking forward to using the 0.89 fifth. Too bad I missed TWS.

I "may" use it at Houston... we'll find out. $199 shipped isn't too shabby. Plus you don't have to modify the tail housing. Tony at AstroPerformance was very helpful. My phone call just to order turned into a 20 minute Q&A session about syncros, clutch quadrants, firewall adjusters, .... I'm glad he took the time as some other vendors wouldn't.

Hopefully the intake will help find my missing 30HP that I need to bring me up to AI level.

Hopefully now all I'm lacking is a K-member, RR oil pan, Accusump, and a real fire supression system.

We have a RR oil pan left from 44 that may be going for sale.

I see that in all your weight reduction endeavors, you still didnt cut the ears off the punkin.

What does that trick flow intake weigh compared to the old one? I know you weigh everything.

Love the ABS work.

Jerry,
Thanks for the update on the RR pan. Keep me in the loop when you go to sell it.

I was running out of time before MSR-H and had to get it back in the car. I realize it was only a minute with the cutoff wheel, but I just wasn't motivated.

I may cut them off since the brakes are off the car in the rear giving me some more room.

The TFS intake is only 2.5 lbs heavier than the Explorer intake.

Damn Marshall, you HAVE been busy!! :P

If I can keep the A/C unit on here at the house tomorrow, I am going to start working on some fabrication for a new steering wheel mount, dash bar and sheet metal dash to hold the stock cluster, clean up some wiring under the "dash" and contemplate the roof removal....the more and more I look at it...there is just a lot of metal up there I ain't using. The problem is that I don't have the patience to drill out over 100 spot welds and piece this thing back together....

I also need about 60 feet of some 1" dom for some straight gusset tubes... Guess I will need to run down to smiley's next weekend?

good thing we have 8 weeks for me to think about this!

When I bought the 1.75 x 0.095 there in December of last year it was $5.80 lf.... I will check and let you know. I also have about 35 feet of it left but plan on using most of it to beef up my cage. I built it to be minimal but after seeing micah's romp and if I cut the roof off the car....I want the protection.

i need the .120" wall not .095". thanks.

they don't stock that from memory...most of their cars weight 2400lbs wet....I know when I was looking everywhere here in town was special order for .120 wall. You can get .134 mild steel over at Wolfe Racecraft in Arlington any day of the week though. You might speak with them and see if they can order the .120 DOM for you.

www.wolferacecraft.com $2 says they take 2 weeks to get back to you though... :(
