I was pointed here and saw several of you guys had motor issues at TWS this past weekend.
Sorry to hear it and Hallett is coming up fast.

I talked with Steve Mulder because he has a spare motor in my shop and he would sell it if needed.

It's a 97 LT1 that came out of my race car in 09.
I bought it as a 60K mile pull-out and has made "the number" from day 1.

I don't recall specific numbers, and all my documentation went when I sold my car.
But is was a 36mm(?) restrictor plate to make CMC1 numbers.
Seems like it made High 250s/low 300s unrestricted.

When I got it home, I took it down to make sure it was 100% stock and it had never had the heads removed.
As a preventative measure, installed new springs, oil pump and pick up and a camshaft.

Installed new Taylor wires and DEI boots and new GM optispark before installed.

The reason it was replaced was that I had an opportunity to get a new Wayne Calvert built engine and I had a car needing a donor motor at the time.

It's complete ... water pump, throttle body, injectors, exhaust manifolds, 160 thermostat, dampner and Canton oil pan.

Holds great oil pressure and was never run hot.

It's truly plug it in and go racing.

A quick search found cast iron Impala versions on local Craigslist at 800-1200
I bet Steve would let this one go for around a $1000.

It sits on a storage stand for easy transport.

I would throw in an accessory bracket, alternator and power steering pump just to make some shelf room.

I also have two sets of LT1 aluminum heads ... one set is ready to bolt on with only a couple of events on them.
The other set is used but uncut.

$200/set.

These are hard to come by unported.

e-mail is best ... just don't cruise through here much.
