I am seeing microcracks on my $$$toptech rotor rings after 6 track days, seems a bit soon to me, do these tend to last for a long time after the microcracks appear?

I think Michael went either two or three seasons on his first set of rotors.

They were tiny cracks, nothing like the ones in the stock rotors. I finally replaced my rings after 2 1/2 years last year. The rings still look very good but I felt it would be better to be safe and just keep them as spares.

Yeah, all rotors show little spiderwebby cracks on the surface. Should stay like that for a long time.

I got 4 full seasons out of a set of rings. Only one failed, but replaced both just to have them the same age.

Don't sweat it. Unless you can put a finger nail in the crack, run em'!
