I need to put some time on my new motor and new brakes before I try and haul all the way to NOLA. Anyone know of any track days or DE's soon? MSR-C or TWS preferred.

Yep, Driver's Edge has a TWS event Sept. 6-7 before the next NASA race. Better register soon. It's about sold out...

You just missed TWS this last weekend. TWS in August is guaranteed to suck because of the heat but they did four different track layouts in the same weekend. The 2.9 CW and CCW, and the 1.8 CW and CCW. The 1.8 was about all that was available when I started doing track events. Cresson, Eagles Canyon, Houston, NOLA, and Harris Hill didn't exist yet and the back section of TWS was in bad condition and not runnable. I hadn't done either direction of the 1.8 in over 14 years. Brought back a lot of memories...

TWS is now offering track rental by the hour, I think it is up to six cars at a time. Contact TWS for details.

TWS has a Performance Driving School (PDS) event Sept 27-28. $295 for two days and you usually get 8 20 minute sessions each day due to the way the run groups are set up.

Yep. Gotta pic the wife and kids up from the airport Sat in DFW. I was thinking a Sunday only deal. Think they would allow me to instruct in trade for track time? I don't need much.

Also, call Denise Todd at the track. I know they need instructors and will take a sunday only if they can. Assuming I can get my heap put together by Saturday, I may be a Sunday only as well.
