View Full Version : Steering Wheels and Quick Release Hubs

Especially for the 94 and up Mustang guys, what steering wheels and quick release hubs are you using? There are so many choices and pricing levels, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm thinking of going with one of the Longacre weld-on hubs and a generic dished steering wheel just on price and convenience.

I was happy just running a stock steering wheel in my old car, but I don't have a good stock wheel for the new car.

I've always ran momo mod 78 350mm wheel and Longacre hub for the last 10 yrs. However the Sweet MFG hub is smoother engaging I found. Just never bought it cause I can get the Longacre one cheaper and I rarely take my wheel off to ever feel the difference.

This is what I am using. The NRG quick release only connects in one orientation. This keeps you from putting the steering wheel on straight up while your wheels are turned.

I presume the hub adapter is a bolt on piece.

Those are nice but you're paying $100 more than you have too.

These are cheap. I was weary at first due to the obvious chinese manufacture, but have run one for 6 years with no issues. It is built tough, bolt on, and does not allow the wheel to be installed incorrectly. It is a huge pain if you have one of those splined set ups and put the wheel on where it is off one tooth. Ben also runs one of these.

I also run the NRG Wade/Jeff run. Second car I've had with one and no complaints.
