So apparently Z06 wheels don't quite fit an LT1 rear end... A quick search on the interwebs confirms this.

The quick solution elsewhere was to lightly grind the wheel bores. Is that what you 4th gen guys are doing? Do that for every single wheel to allow you to rotate them? Any other options?

I run spacers in the rear so the center bore is never a concern.

Yes, I lightly grinded all 8 of my ls1 ss wheels so they would fit. No problem as wheels are lug centric not hub centric.

What size spacer? I put a 3/16" spacer on there last night to be able to get the car on the ground. Not sure if that is really enough to clear the hub and still provide enough clamping force, but the brake disc did stop turning independantly of the wheel/axle.

I think before I ground all of my wheels a 1/2" spacer definitely got the wheel plenty clear of the axle hub. Now with minimal grinding all 8 wheels bolt up with zero spacer.

Smallest I've used out back is 1/2".

Fresh axle shafts with the correct diameter is another option. Axle shafts aren't a infinite life item...

Well this is a Mitch Warren rear end special. I believe the axles are Titanium and the housing is Magnesium with a carbon fiber gearset. Not gonna be cheap to replace.

Check to see if it has asbestos axle seals and sintered metal bearings.

I remember this rear end. If I had bought the car from him a week earlier I would've bought it too.

Dang it Gary.
