I am very sad to report that my dad and #1 race fan passed away yesterday after a year-long battle with cancer. He was a friend and inspiration not only to me but countless other friends and family throughout his lifetime. I already miss him and always will.

I'm so sorry Rob. Your dad was a really great guy! I lost my dad a while ago and I feel for you. It's not an easy thing to go through.

So sorry to hear Rob. I remember when I first started coming to the track over 10 years ago how kind and welcoming both you and your dad were. He always had a smile on his face and was such a pleasure to be around. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I liked your Dad and definitely his taste in cars. Surely a sad moment but like what Jerry has been through now you know how important he was to you and you can use that inspiration when looking at your two boys.

Sorry to hear this Rob, condolences to you and your family. I'll always remember taking a phone call while riding in the back seat of your dad's Lexus while you showed him around the place.

Sooooo.....We were at TWS waiting on Michael Mosty to go to dinner. Al, my dad and I were in dad's Lexus LS430 barge. I was still light outside and the gates to the track were open. So I decided to take some touring laps while waiting for Michael to get ready.

Phone rings.

Rob - Hello

Michael - Hey Rob where ya at?

Rob - Road Course, Turn 3, we'll be right back

We drifted it through Carousel on the way in. Then went to dinner.

Thanks for the memory jog Al, it gave me a great big grin.
