The damage appears to be where the rotor spins, as though an oversized rotor were once fitted with this caliper? I must have noticed this last year and opted to ignore it, no way it happened all in 2015. Odd, but where the pads sit appear to be OKish. I fitted a replacement caliper today, but it was bent and acted like a parking brake. Donor car must have been whacked on that corner. I reinstalled the torn up caliper as it holds fluid and lets the car roll for now.

Note my inability to really capture how messed up this thing really is. The junk replacement caliper had some minor markings that looked like the beginnings of what I attempted to picture as well. Pad wear from last year matches the not-messed-up passenger side.
