I'm pretty sure the first turn is where I first started with the caliper problems.

You can hear when the caliper gets lodged between the rotor and the wheel sometime around 10 minutes in. Then you can hear the wheel break once I get it going again.

You guys are crazy running that track with no rain tires!

Was I seeing things or was Jerry's rear glass missing?

During Race 3 it blew out of the car in one piece, flew about 20 feet in the air and shattered all over Turn 2. It took us a bit with the sweeper to get it cleaned up after the race.

That was an awesome race. Craig passed me going into 4 and immediately sailed off track. Mosty passed me going into 1 and immediately sailed off track. Both were good confirmations I had the entry speed about right :)

It was awesome... gonna force myself to put one wiper back on and get some defrost in the car. Congrats to the "Rain Man" Robertson for bringing some tread(s)

I followed Gary in Sunday qualifying from T4 through T9. That was fast! I kind of regretted using the car advantage to get by. I wouldn't have minded seeing that performance again on the next lap.

If you watch the right side mirror you will see it leave the car.

No...just exceptional drivers making do with inferior vehicles, obviously.

When I said to watch out for the 55 I failed to mention he would be going so fast that the rear window would blow out-wow! Give us some more stories and videos for those that didn't get to make it. I saw the lap times Monday and figured it was wet but didn't know it was cooler lid rain.
Hope to see everyone at Hallett.

Orange was actually pretty fast.
Racing in the rain was an absolute hoot. I have some more video - probably see it early 2018 in the 2016 year end.
McSpadden/McCormick/McJander in a different league
Jander threw his right rear brake caliper at me
Sean ran well - still eluded by 1:59.999
Brisket was only so-so
Paul (new guy in the 88) graduated to DE2
Robertson cheated with tread(z)
Patterson sat out

The repair list is probably interesting:
- McCormick engine swap
- Holdway rear-end swap (off track for sure not sure about the rain race)
- Team Jordan lost the back glass
- Jander brake caliper and inside wheel shredding
- Tyler installed the 5.0 Angular Crank Snout Power option (again)
- Orange broke the negative battery terminal
- ARC broke the spare Orange T56

Better?

I also have either a blown head gasket, cracked intake, cracked head, or cracked block. I pulled the dipstick on Monday and noticed a lot of water in the oil. It's odd because I never had an overheating issue all weekend and when I checked the oil Sunday morning I didn't see any trace of water in it, even though I had a misfire all weekend.

Time for a 5.0 they are bullet proof

Lol I've honestly thought about it, but with the number of cranks you dudes have been going through among various other problems makes me hesitant. Plus all the crap I'd need to do the swap. 94/95 K-member, radiator, wiring, sensors, 94/95 bellhousing, 94/95 input shaft, tranny, motor, 89-93 computer and maf. It all starts to add up pretty quick.

You get the old motor tore down yet? Im curious as to where the failure was.

And I forgot:
- Dukes of Hazard Remake 32 and Gary "Big Air" Robertson
- Jander "I don't need no stinkin' static suspension settings" - with a notably/visibly loose front strut

Yes-thanks OIF. Guess it's okay I missed it since the brisket was only so so. So is the Rainman Big Air Gary in the running for the golden helmet. Glenn refused to take it when I gave it to him at Cresson so I'll just ship it to him sometime.

Well most CMC motors are pretty bulletproof when you keep them below 6,000 and/or 200,000 miles.

So what number is Corey? http://www.ustream.tv/MazdaLIVE

Apparently #39... and finished 36th. Seemed to be a disagreement with someone after the checker...

Had a blast getting to meet some of you at TWS 2 weeks ago. GoPro didn't seem to want to play ball -- so I don't have any video evidence of my mosquito fogging, poor driving, and great last place battle with Tilton (until water temp hit 240) in R3. Thanks to all for the help this weekend -- most notably Rob for the dipstick hole tipoff, Marshall for the bolt, Tyler for the dipstick loan, Wade for working on the car, and everyone else who stopped by to lend a hand, a beer, or advice. Can't wait to have a reliable car and have some more fun racing with this group. Hope to see some of you at NOLA & Hallett.

My Gopro was a POS all last season, turns out reformatting the card was all it took. They're finicky like that. I had a couple of action packed invert races that were killer and none of them were captured, only the most boring ones.
