Looks like they need 25 entrants to make it happen, hoping to run at this event to test out some changes/fixes before going to MSRC. I personally plan to register this weekend if I can confirm I get a refund on cancellation:

Open Track Day. This event is open to licensed racers, instructors, and solo-qualified drivers ONLY. Drivers must be "solo qualified" by PDS, equivalent DE group, or provide a current competition license from any major sanctioning body.
ChumpCar and LeMons licenses, and WRL experience are accepted on a provisional basis and may be restricted at the Chief Stewards discretion.

Gates open at 6:00 am with a mandatory drivers' meeting at 7:30 am.
Hot track will starts at 8:00 pm, cold track at 5:00 pm.
Direction: Counter Clockwise, 2.9 mile course
On-Line Registration Price:
8:00am-12:00pm = $150
8:00 am - 5:00 pm = $200
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm = $150
+$25 for each additional driver.
Run groups: Depends upon total entries.
Garages are free and are first come first served basis.
Walk Up Registration price:
8 am - 12pm = $175
8 am - 5 pm = $225
1 pm - 5 pm = $175
Payments for this event must be received no later than Wednesday March 1, 2017.
REMEMBER - Registration closes at MIDNIGHT (12:01 AM) ONE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT!
If we do not get the required minimum number of participants, the event will be cancelled.
Cancellations~
We understand that situations may occur that prevent participants from coming to an event. Notification of personal cancellation should be given as soon as possible (via e-mail to pds@texasworldspeedway.com). TWS may also cancel events (with at least 24 hours notice to registrants) for reasons such as weather (including unsafe local travel conditions), unsafe track conditions, or insufficient participation/registration for an event.
Cancellations will be issued refunds in the following manner:
Full refund or credit when event is cancelled for any reason by TWS.
Full refund or credit if cancellation request is received by March 1, 2017.
Cancellation requests received after March 1, 2017 will be issued a 50% refund.
Refunds will not be given for cancellations on or after an event start date.
Refunds will not be given for reasons including, but not limited to: weather, track condition, mechanical failure of registrant's vehicle, damage to registrant's vehicle, ineligibility of registrant’s vehicle, ineligibility of driver for a particular event, and cancellation/delay of an event.
TWS and PDS reserve the right to change any element of an event format at any time, before or during an event, for any reason. Event format includes, but is not limited to: run group assignments, session lengths, event schedule, track configuration, academics & curricula, instructor assignments, garage assignments, and course marshaling.
Emails with more event information will be sent to those who are confirmed for the event.
