Just wanted to give a heads up of the 2017 season awards banquet will be on Saturday 1/13/18 at Rami's Italian restaurant in College Station, TX. We will post the exact details soon but it will be a late afternoon dinner. Format will be the same as previous years with a meet + greet, dinner, 2017 awards, and 2018 season discussion. All family is welcome so please post here if you will be able to make it so we can start getting a head count. All past, current, and future racers / crew are all welcome to attend.

Jerry,
College Station is just a pretty even “middle point” for those in houston vs. Dallas. If you have any other ideas for a location to host future parties, let us know. Rami’s place has good food, a quiet upstairs area, and has always been willing to accommodate us.

I was just kidding Marshall. It was a dig at College Station.

Pranav,
If you are skiing this weekend, you should be wide open in a month... LOL

Is anyone else in for the banquet? Thank you to Daniel, Craig, and John that have said they are coming but we need more participation if the event is going to happen.

Do y'all still want to try and do end of year banquets? Do you prefer to have an awards presentation at the first event of the next year?
We want to make sure we are doing what is wanted by all racers so please post up your opinions so we can make this the best for as many as possible.
Thanks,

All,
Unfortunately I had to cancel Café Capri for the banquet. They had a $450 minimum to reserve the upstairs and with the current turn-out that didn't make sense.
Michael and I are open to suggestions, as previously mentioned. We will currently plan to hand out awards at the first event the weekend of the 27th.

I meant to reply, had forgotten the date, and was checking in just now.

Thanks to the Mosty's for trying to herd cats here.

I like doing the year-end thing just to see everybody and not have to worry about the car at the same time.

Wonder if Rami could reserve a table for the group that was interested if they're still interested in getting together?

I would love to make it but I have a conflict, I think a Thurs/Fri night gtg on a race weekend would be easier to align, hopefully most folks won't be wrenching on those nights.

What about a night in Feb? No race weekend that month......
