I'll join the dyno day as well.

I was thinking of dynoing at the track on Friday, but it's probably wiser to have a few days just in case of who-knows-what.

I got the thumbs up to attend from the powers that be. I don't intend to dyno, unless y'all need an extra vehicle to make some numbers or something. I'm hoping people show up early/on time, don't break, and we can all go to lunch together?

Wade we have pretty good turnout if the list above all comes, so no need for you to Dyno. Car Doc also didn't specify a minimum # of cars so all good. Agree on lunch... somewhere with cold beer!

Called and confirmed with Car Doc all good for Saturday.

I'm trying to talk Crumpacker into riding down with me (or bringing HIS CMC car!). I don't know anything about the area. I'm someone closer does, or we can probably find a Buffalo Wild Wings or similar. WZ

Ron Miller's car has been at CCD 90% I've been there. I'm sure he lives close. We can crash his garage.

I would love to see Ron's car. I love the 7.0 badges. Hah! His new garage is supposed to be sweet too.

What did everyone put down for numbers?

Does someone have all the dyno run files? It would be very cool to compare all the diff engines

Pranav

I will ask for them

261/304 Avg

Pretty much everyone was convinced it was going to blow up on the dyno with that ticking noise. Many shocked faces.

Tyler - good job building that motor!

245/285 through a 54 mm restrictor with gas from April 2016

Chris will send the dynojet run files to me soon. I will put up a graph comparing the different types of motors. Should be interesting!

I made 261/304 on a 57mm BTW

264/297, my freakish 308wtq has disappeared with my soccermom-mobile bottom end. :(

For sure! LT1 torque monster, 4.6 top end monster, i'm excited to see the data.

Any luck with the dynojet files? I can load em up in Winpep if someone wants to send them over.

Tilton-what am I missing with the 54 mm restrictor? Is that the factory MAF or something?

My first trip to the dyno after a motor rebuild and adding heads/cam/intake to make CMC power, the ambient temp was just above freezing and the diff/transmission weren't even warmed up by the time the car was strapped down. It put down a low 260hp number on the first pull and climbed each time as everything warmed up. On the third run it reached 267.7 so I threw on the biggest restrictor Wade brought with him. With a 54mm restrictor the car made 256/295 back to back to back. The stock Fox throttle body is 58mm so 54mm isn't too bad.

Though I'm not planning on racing this year (back in 2019) I wanted to help boost the attendance and see how healthy the motor was with the same components. I could have pulled the restrictor and played with the timing but 1.5 year old gas was holding it back.
