I know this is not the hardwired type but is this compatible with what NASA uses?

I think so. It's the old skool kind that doesn't have to be rented back... don't get me started on that crap.

Not dispositive, but: http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=131900

I bought a used wired 260 from ebay, for $500.... The only piece of electronic equipment that is appreciating over the years.

That's what I have seen them selling for. For a brand new one I didn't think the price was bad.

That appears to be the same unit that I use. Came with the car when I bought it. Other then sometimes forgetting to charge a day before leaving for the race weekend it has been fantastic.
