Has anyone tried making or sourcing thicker c clips for the GM 7.5?

Found my rear end had .150 thick c clips.

New Dorman clips were .155

Measuring the end play I could use a .165 and .170 to tighten things up nicely.

I've only found these, but the OD is too big for my f body diff

Would be easy enough to have machined...

I can cut them but the material is available in gauges. 8 ga is .164" nominal but can be from .156" to .172" It will be closer to .160". 7 ga is .179" nominal but can be from .171" to .187". It will be around .176". This is in mild steel. If we go stainless the gauges are dead nuts. 7 ga is .187" and 8 ga is really not available except in small pieces from like McMaster-Carr. Very expensive. I'm guessing we could laser cut some from a sheet of 3/16" (.187") then have someone mill them down.
