Great video! Never thought about using a mig welder like a 3D printer!

Welders have been doing Additive Manufacturing for over 100 years!

We also have machines using plasma transferred arc to build titanium, niobium, chromium, rhenium and tungsten parts. Electroslag based AM for high strength low alloy (HSLA) steel and nickel alloys. Plus Mig based units for Super Duplex, HSLA, aluminum and stainless. With thermal spray we are able to build ceramic parts too. As long as it is on the periodic table it is worth a try. :-)
