Just got a note from track day tire that Toyo pricing increases on Monday….that blows…. Anyone know how much more a set will cost?

Seems to go up every couple of years. I expect this jump will be higher than usual.

I think last time it was ~$80/set.

Yeah, hopefully not a crazy jump.
I heard from Phil's that they were currently out of the RR's in our size so not sure if that is a nationwide shortage or just with them.

Phil's can drop ship from several warehouses, I suspect it would be nationwide. Toyo seems to produce tires in batches ever 12 - 18 months (by my date code tracking).

Looks like they are up $140 a set, $35 per tire.... tried to order before the increase but missed it...

No clue.. not sure if anyone else does. Interesting part of the article says Miata will keep the RR (at least for now). No mention of CMC.

Looking at the Maxis online it is $300 a set cheaper so that's certainly nice. Googled some compares to the RR and hard to say if it's a "better" tire or not... guess we need some feedback from the giant group of E30 guys in Texas :)

That seems like the first non Toyo spec tire I've ever seen in a NASA class?

Here is an interesting read how NASA handled the Spec E30 deep dive into Maxxis RC-1.
