It appears to be about 20% authored ....
The desk is a little too organized and clean for it to be a REAL editing station.
I couldn't work in that environment.
There needs to be more half empty styrofoam coffee cups and spent bags of powdered donuts to make it look real.

I'd be more worried about an alergic reaction between the peanuts and the office duster.

Wow, that is a big jar of peanuts... I do like the setup though...
I will have to show it to Holly, she thinks I am crazy for having three computers and a laptop going all at once. Eric know nows the secret of video editing. Multiple computers...

Definitely makes it a lot easier to use multiple systems. When rendering takes a very long time, it's nice to keep working on other segments with the other systems. :D

Real time, baby! I only have to render the non-native transitions when working on-line.
But, import clips off-line, create the EDL, insert the transitions and THEN, import the show on-line when I go to bed makes things go faster.
And having a dual core machine and a gig of RAM certainly makes life easier as well.

I fully appreciate the HOURS and HOURS of time you spend compiling all the footage.
I truly feel your pain ...

Definitely rewarding in the end. :D
The video is 99% done and we (family) watched it 5-6 times last night. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we have making it.
Hopefully Matt won't mind the 10min segment of his wheel coming off. Yes, I keeeeeed!!
I can't wait for the 13th!!!!

DDBah! Gimme a Beowulf Linux cluster running the rendering engine. Gotta figure out how how hook that into Premiere though...
On the other hand, we just got some new servers in at work -- 4 dual-core AMD Opterons running at 2.8GHz (8 CPUs) with 64GB of RAM. Hope I can spend some quality time with these before they go to the integration lab...
