The time Glenn and I have spent is not so much in building/rebuilding the cars, rather experimenting with stuff easily changed at the track, like tire pressures, wheel spacers, rear springs and sway bars.
We have gotten to a point where we know what to expect from a specific change under certain conditions.
It's not like we've gone out and rented tracks for a day. This was all data collected while doing open track events, like we all do. Nothing special about a pressure gauge, pyrometer and a piece of paper. You just can't get out of the car and go socialize ... it's a commitment.
One of the things that was stolen in my truck break-in was 3 years of notes on what changes were made, given a specific set of circumstances and the end results of those changes. That was irreplaceable data.
Sunday morning, Corey and I had a conversation about his car's ill-handling. I tried to help, but it was obvious that Mustangs respond differently ... WAY differently ... to similar changes in an F-car. Sorry, Corey. Maybe we should talk.
You are right, Robert. I need to learn more about Mustangs.
