Made it home ... finally!
Saturday was a bad day. Lots of contact and some carnage.
A driver missed a shift exiting The bitch and I didn't. It was a hard lick.
It moved my impact beam back to the lower core support, squeezing off all air flow to the radiator.
Using a come-a-long, a big Donovan hammer and a Rueth welder, I had something that resembled a nose back on the car after a couple hours wrasslin' with it.
However, the car never did cool as well as it did on Friday. so ...
Sunday was a totally different story. Clean racing from everyone as far as I know.
I was driving 11/10s just trying to stay up with Jeff. He was just toying with me though ... giving me false hope, I'm sure. When my car reached 235 on coolant, I pedaled back in an effort to race another day. And on the last 2 laps, it was sputtering a bit coming out of 6.
R2 standing start I got a good jump and raced Corey hard for a couple laps. But, Corey the sly fox, used an out of class car to screw my line and he motored off into the sunset.
Late in the day, someone said my transponder wasn't working and hadn't the whole day. I never saw a time sheet. Can someone confirm this please?
Corey and Lisa along with the great gang at Hallett put on a great show. I was impressed with how smoothly it ran. Saturday was a bit out of control, but it all got reeled in on Sunday and made up for it.
The mom's were pampered and well cared for. Bev made a freezer of ice cream each day, Holly and Stephanie tried their best to corrupt my wife, but I rebooted her OS on the way home.
The Colorado guys was a hoot! Lots of nice cars ... and I think I finally met someone who spins more often than Adam. ;) It was great to see Chris McCoomb once again. A really great guy. Thanks for all your help Saturday evening.
Finally thanks to Argent Labs for making this weekend possible. You are the man.
YEAH, DEFINATELY A FUN WEEKEND
We finally made it home...
Corey and the Gang, are stuck just outside of OK City... He called me when I was in Ft Worth and said his truck blew another EGR cooler and sucked in coolant, hydro-locked the engine...
They were close to a hotel and were going to pack it in for the night and see about getting the truck to a dealer in the morning.
Holly and I had a great weekend. The old trusty #7 ran great all weekend as I pushed it hard every lap, I never let up from green to checkered flag for every race session. Fun stuff.
It was great hanging out with everyone and seeing the dudes from Colorado. Good times!
Corey and Lisa put on a great weekend!!!
Also, I would like to thank Argent Labs for being a great sponsor of the event, I will get some great use out of the race radios, I can't wait to use them in my car!!! Thanks again!

Where do I sign up for next year?!
My neck/shoulders are pretty sore from all the track time.
Thank you Rueth Racing and Robert Boudreaux!
