Correction - it's $60 a night, but I gotta make my reservation changes this morning by 10. If you want a room for Thursday night, call 979-571-5441 and leave a msg. I have up to 4 rooms available for tomorrow.Quote:

Just pretend the blue third gen infront of you is JW, but instead of some dude, it could be a hot girl in a bikini driving, so be nice

Is anyone going to go check things out for the fun of it? At this moment, I am regretting not building up a car but oh well. Thought it might be fun to come check out anyway to see the mayhem.

I'm going out Saturday morning and watch a bit of the "race".
Thinking about heading down to watch some racing.
Now sure when yet.

I went out to the Lemons race today and the news as of 8pm is as follows:
Mosty, MFW and Clifton are the overall leaders in their Toyota FX16 Wayne's World entry!!!!
Witchdoctor/Bikini Racer are in second - this is Costas, Robertson et. al.
Frank Roberts's team in a BMW 3 series was having intermittent engine trouble, but I think they got it running well (as of 2pm - no updates).
Bud Sharp, Chris Lyons, David Shwarze, Steve Kent, Richard Painter are in 5th overall in their Formula Mullet Mustang - complete with brake pedal activated air brake ala 1953 Mercedes.
I was expecting much more carnage in the race, but the participants were heavily warned and will suffer very severe penalties for any body contact, so the very close racing amung a great variance of vehicles/speeds/abilities was very clean. The Spec Miata guys could learn a lot from this group of mostly inexperienced drivers.
Good luck to all on Sunday.
