got notified I'll be canned in two weeks today as part of an acquisition. In an effort to keep me in Texas region graduating people through Time Trials and into racing with CMC in the future if anyone has any leads for Finance or Accounting jobs let me know...
and if I know your name you've probably received a LinkedIn request from me already. Now you know why...
That sucks Ken, I feel for you! Got laid off on Thursday from Advance. 24 hours later by the grace of God alone I am now a Parts manager for Land Rover/Jaguar North Houston. I hope your luck runs the same!
Ken,
That does suck... I'm sure you will bounce back easily!!
I got my "old" engine pretty much back to a long block yesterday.. Looks like the tired, old, 6-season 302 will have to run at least 3 more events before the replacement 331 is finished (again).
My only concern is 30# injectors on basically a 300HP/TQ motor. I hope it will spray correctly. I sold off all the 24# stuff, as I figured I would never go back to a 302... I guess never say never. :)
Good luck Ken... that really sux.
went and looked at this, but was sold already!

turns out, story we got from sales guy:
"old guy walked in wearing dirty jeans and shirt. He leans up against the car in
the show room and and asks ' can i get some help around here?' the sales people
were having a pot luck lunch and were somewhat distracted. 'what's for sale?'.
then says ' aw, i don't feel like walking, how much for this ?'
then he has them start up the car and fills show room w exhaust fumes as he revs
the engine excessively.
then says ' do you take a check?'. and pulls a crumpled book out of his pocket.
tuns out he had PLENTY of funds. He disliked his neighbors and they had a bunch of mustangs, he felt like showing them up. returned later and picked up the car in his
clean ranch clothes", which is when i met him. tall, skinny, crazy old coot.
Since I actually had a few hours where the baby slept I did what any new mom with a mess of a house would do...I created a website for us Crumpacker's to keep people up-to-date...
