I've got a fuel pressure regulator that I use to adjust the A/F ratio. That's the only legal way I know of doing it other than a tune (which I don't have).

Since your not racing w/ us yet (I had assumed that from the start), then there is no issue. Once you do, no mid-weekend adjustments. And once you do adjust it, you will need a new dyno sheet.
Yup. Since I know I'm going to be adjusting my A/F after MSRH I didn't figure it would be worth it to dyno there and then again after. Planning to get my comp license at H2R in February.
Once he is out of DE's.
Put me down. If for whatever reason I still dont have my crap together I'll just forfeit the $75 or we'll get to find out how much power the Tundra makes.
You going to be at Houston Eddie? We look forward to having you back out there!!
I'm sure Calder is still having flashbacks of you next to him in the grass. ;^)
Ehh-our motors our broken in once they reach operating temp.
Bryan,
AI motors seem to be glass jaw since we've grenaded quite a few in the last few seasons..
Mosty
Patterson
Dulaney
Rock
Neary (multiple)
Robertson
Cook (blown head gaskets)
Grrr... What fun!
We have to baby our crap till it's "seasoned"...
My junkyard motor has done fine for 7 seasons... The last motor (new 331) popped due to a dying fuel pump. I didn't have an A/F meter at the time, but do now... It was just the wrong place/wrong time last year for the fuel pump to $hit the bed... I'm crossing my fingers on this one. Also, I'm going to put a fuel pressure isolater and run a guage in the car.
if you are still using stock lines, you could be fighting a flow problem, not just a pressure problem. if the lines are too small, you could generate pressure all day, but the minute you go WOT the injectors suck the line dry. Get the FP gauge and you can be sure that the FP is there during all RPM ranges.
so we have on the list:
Jerry
Wade
Al
Dan
Francis
Randy
Ben
Gary
Robert Rudduck
Put me down if you want one more to get the total cost down. I can bring some more TTers as well, just say the word :)
Randy,
As a thought, are you going to give priority to race cars and TT cars that require a dyno sheet in order to compete? Seems like we've done this on past dyno days so that those who really need it get done. It would suck if, for instance, Pranav's Tundra blows the dyno up early in the day due to all that massive Toyota power.
I have communicated to Tony that we have 10-12 NASA CMC cars that will be wanting to dyno on Friday. If he wants to work in others, I assume he has that proagative. We haven't reserved any time slots. Just let him know to be ready for some dyno sessions. I'm sure we can get everyone in over the weekend.
I won't have the CMC car. I'll have the Mini there if we need more cars to get the 'discounted' price.
Just got my dyno done at HPP. Granted I won't need it for a while, but know I will make at least one event in 2013... just not sure when.

Got mine done also, the rain was nice and refreshing with a bonus of wet ass.

Spare engine wasn't quite as plug and play as I thought. Planned on a new pan, pump, valve springs and go. Apparently there are quite a few differences between a '97 and '94 LT1, so I ended up tearing the 'new' '94 down to block/crank/rods/pistons. It'd be silly not to throw in rings and bearing since it's down this far. Whole thing just snowballed to more than I expected.
That combined with a few other things, like saving for a trip to Scotland this year (~$1200-1400 each plane ticket) and not being on OT, means I'll be skipping a few races in 2013. Figure now's also the time to do a few things to the car I've been putting off. I most definetly will be at Hallett and TWS tho. I'll be back on your bumper full time in 2014... got an Ironman record to beat.
Randy - I've got a new Corvette guy that *really* needs a dyno - can he please crash in with you guys on Friday if possible?
Also - did you hear for sure if the place will be open to people who need it on Sat?
he's coming from costal Mississippi (iirc) so I would think you guys could easily get through before he gets there. Besides, don't you want some fresh fish to talk into CMC racing for next season? ;) Sell C5Z, buy CMC car, buy trailer, buy truck, buy race gear = no extra money yaknow. Could be an easy sell :)
Man, that sucks Gary
