I still don't know how Marshall drives with that go kart wheel haha
Race 4 first 3 laps before the rear end let go. Pulled it apart last night, inner pinion bearing failed (probrably too high pinion preload set). Should be fixed this weekend ready for ECR.

No video of Michael and Dan tandem hydroplaning off of turn one in Race 3??? Anyone?
Richard P.
Michael is traveling. Raegan shot it on her camera. Let me see if I can get it on YouTube.
Thanks to Corey for being an awesome camera car:

Clearly not one of my better judgements. I should have know that on the out lap when leaving the pit road I almost lost it in T1. Then we get the green 4 minutes later and I think T1 has magically improved. I bet I went in a good 20 mph too hot. The car never even had a chance to get crossed up, the steering just did nothing and went straight off.
The video from the stands looked great, it appeared I was right next to Jay on track. Only we were 100 yards apart, haha.
I'm using "Glass Science Fog Clear"

Yo, JJ, where da vid's man?
I'm at my wits end on the racecar's oil leak. Put UV dye in and ran it 10 minutes as the instructions said.
The underside is now completely orange. The inside of the bell housing is dripping wet, but so is the outside. Everything is coated in oil.
I guess I'll start with replacing the valley cover gasket (newest part on the motor). If that doesn't solve it, I'll go for the rear main seal.
I had a similar issue with the factory installed oil temp plug in my oil pan(canton, ford), it was hard to find but I finally got it. How many sets of eyes have you had on it after cleaning it vigorously and then firing it up? I may be able to swing by if you need another set of eyes.
Oil pressure sender on the top of the block behind the intake? They snap off pretty easy.
Only my two eyes. I welcome more. It'll be out of the trailer until late afternoon, then it gets re-banished. Out of sight, out of mind.
I checked the upper oil sender. If feels less wet than everything else. It is also working.
Congrats to Mike Patterson for breaking the AI track record.
