Who is doing the painting? I don't think that is Mitch in the background.

I drove from west of Katy (Brookshire?) to my house in west Fort Worth in 3hrs and 45 minutes. I left at 3pm and walked in my door at 6:45.
Butt piss will motivate you.
PS - Don't drink the water in Houston.
On day 5 right now.
hmmm ... when I called and we talked, you were at some gay porn bowling alley.
Must've been the closest bathroom.
;)
Tried some Steven Wright comedy but didn't work, I'll keep my day job.
Installed k-member, and re-assembled everything. Filled oil pan with oil, and the car fired first crank. Will bleed brakes tomorrow, then install new exhaust and align the front end. Will be ready for TWS.
Since I was 125lbs over minimum weight at MSRC, I spent the day adding lightness.
Forty pounds so far, but there was a barbell weight that was being used for ballast, so the first 25lbs was easy.
I bought an angle grinder to remove the welded in passenger seat brackets and found out three things:
1. You can use brown paper to protect the wiring
2. Lots of sparks, but the grinding disc will not catch brown paper on fire
3. The cutoff wheel will! ;)
Just dropped off the car at Hough for the last few electrical bits that I am afraid to tackle and find out what my weight is. If all goes as planned I should be log book ready by the end of this week. Now I just need to do something about my horsepower deficiency and my 4x4 ride height :/
Nah, that keeps exhaust farther away from dry grass.Quote:

How many people can say their car burned down at the track and they were happy?

Graphics will go on Saturday.
All in all, I'm happy with the outcome.
Looks GREAT Mitch. How hard is getting off the old graphics?
JJ
More importantly, how hard will it be to remove the CMC2 banner :P
Jerry, I replaced a lot of my stickers last winter. A hair dryer and some patience worked well.
I'm hoping to park the trailer near my pit stall at TWS so that I can run an extension cord to it. Do you think it's worth getting some 1x2" boards for each side of the extension cord or are they pretty tough with regard to cars running over them?
Looks nice! Except, I thought you were putting a Hello Kitty sticker on the roof?
Someone standing there next to the door really, really wants to drive it...
Very nice Mitch!! I like the "nuclear green"...
Looks awesome Mitch! Well done....
Awesome Mitch
Very cool looking paint job!
Packing the old suitcase for a trip to lovely Istanbul, Turkey.... Uggg.
I'll spend 30 hours either flying or waiting in an airport for a three hour meeting. Wonderful way to spend your time. Unfortunately a F1 gran-prix is not wrapped around this "beauty". My flight gets in at 7:30pm on Thursday, so after being up for 24 hours, I'll get 6 hours sleep before heading to pickup the car and head to TWS. Red-Bull will be my friend! I'm going to the shop tomorrow for one last "thrash" before heading to the airport.
See you guys in six short days. Hope you all had a great Easter.
Mith... That looks great.
Looks awesome Mitch. Now we'll just have to put up with you sayin "I ROC!". :)
Yup, and even went to realwheel.net to see if they offered 17x9.5s for ya... unfortunately they don't :(

I have done that and had an extension cord cut in half from race tires sticking to it. I would suggest just hooking it up at night when the race cars aren't driving over it. Don't know what all you are running in the trailer but its easy to trip a breaker on the outlets.
No way you pulled an 11.90 with all that aero!Quote:
