I think this will really come in handy working on the Camaro. I'm always losing and/or misplacing stuff.
Took the little one to Sea World with the grandparents. Hot as hell all day long but it was worth it to see him jump to his feet and clap when Shamu jumped up out of the water during the show and say "thats amazing"(he'll be two next month). Guess momma staying at home is paying off. The heat sapped him pretty good though. He slept the entire 4.5 hours back from grandma and grandpas house.
Got to see pics of my grandson ...
Last Thursday after almost 25 years of being hooked on Afrin I had nasal surgery to fix a deviated septum among other things. Let me tell you this SUCKS! DON'T DO IT! Yesterday I had to go get the tubes and stints out and in ten days I get to go back for the first of two cleanings. When they tell you to first take 2 10 mg Valium, plus two Vicodin pain pills at the same time before you come in for this BS you know it's going to suck. They tell you not to sneeze.....well last night about three twenty AM I found out why. Hope this is all worth it.
Jerry, I've had the procedure done twice... The stints are amazingly annoying after a week (my doc's normal timing). I did figure out how to gently blow my nose through/around them to releive some of the "crap" clogged 9 miles up in my nasal cavity. I didn't have any of the cleanings that you mentioned, just a bunch of saline rinses which are now part of my nightly ritual to keep the allergens flushed out of my nose. Blowing your nose is an art form when you learn to divert 90% through your mouth and spare only 10% for your nose in those "tender" days...
:)
OK ... I just gagged and threw up in my mouth ...
My wife had that surgery done ~20 years ago, and it was the biggest mistake she's ever made (marrying me not withstanding). We didn't find out until many, many years later that now she essentially has no septum, as the surgeon didn't perform the surgery properly.
Not fun.....
You guys are scaring me. I had considered the surgery route but after hearing these stories I have just renewed by Flonase prescription.;)
I still have to rotate between Verymist, Patanase, and Nasonex as well as daily saline rinses... My Afrin abuse in college screwed me for life...
I was having just an average ride into work on my motorsicle...... until...... I saw this.......
Spent better part of the week in the Rockies...man have I missed the mountains!
Started near Banff and finished up near Jasper with a trip down class three rapids with the family...my daughter, who loves roller coasters, still has a big grin on her face..."better than Six Flags!!"...pix to come when I get a chance...my parents 50th anniversary party today...gotta go...
Just sat through a 3 hour sales pitch for replacement windows for my house.
It was the same process like when purchasing a car.
Salesman has to go through sales manager, then credit manager, etc.
Started out at $14K. No.
$11.5K. No.
$10.4K with 0% interest @ 60 months. No.
What will it take?
$8K - 0% - 60 months - no minimum monthly -
$8.5K? No.
Cya ... I bet they call back.
Nice vinyl windows, BTW ...
Just found out today when trying to file a hail claim for 26-May that my homeowners policy was cancelled on 22-May. Apparently I didn't pay my renewal notice that I never received. They have apparently sent three pieces of mail to me over the last 8 weeks regarding my policy. I never received any of them... I called and pitched the "I've been with you guys for auto and homeowner's for 8 years and have never missed a payment. Throw me a bone please". They won't renew since they now know I have hail damage and won't pick me back up until I fix my 8-10K roof damage... However, they have raised it to a higher level of management to see if they can make an exception since I never received the notices. Grrrrr. :(
Salvaged 800-900 lbs of bare copper ($3 per pound) over the last two days. I have a 5 gallon bucket full of brass (.60 per pound) and about another 200lbs of brass stacked 6-7 ft tall. Another 5 gallon bucket full of aluminum and a few large parts that don't fit in a bucket. 1/2 a 5 gallon bucket of stainless (?? per pound). I figure $3K in scrap I hope to dump early next week.
All this was collected over the last 2 weeks.
This is a 1 time find I've been working on and off for a month or so. I'm still leaving about $1000 - $2000 in copper behind due to it being submerged in 200 gallons of oil containing PCB's.
Bought a 2011 Ruckus this afternoon. Not one dealer had one in stock with-in 150 miles of me except Killeen and they wanted $350.00 extra because they know they were the only one with one in stock. Dealer in Georgetown gets four in on Tue. and now two of them are sold. It's crazy to pay that much for a scooter but it worse to pay $1500-1900 for a used one with two thousand miles. Spec Ruckus class starting at ECR (I will be absent at TWS in August). Bring your dyno sheet Sam!

Had the afternoon off and tried to duplicate a classic "stupid human trick"..... The "Gallon of milk challenge". I got halfway through before I realized why it's a stupid human trick. I'll post my attempt to Vimeo.. No better use for a Drift 170, but to tape something like this in 1080p... :)
Here's the video.

Screw all this heat. Put a little window unit in the garage today so that hopefully I can have a productive weekend.
This morning around 8:45 I got to spend a few last moments with my buddy Maximus as we tried to rush him to the vet after a rough first night home last night after being attacked by an unknown dog Friday night. Maximus was a year and three months old. RIP Maximus Love (April 19, 2010-July 3, 2011). Yall probably remember him as that little pup running around Hallett last year. Its amazing how a dog can affect your emotions.
Ugh, sorry to hear that Jason.
I remember last year at Hallett, he was a super cool dog.
RIP Maximus, he'll be missed.
